The Drama department aims to provide all pupils with the opportunity to develop their performance skills and to become analytical in their approach to the subject. The team seeks to provide a secure environment where students can improve their self-confidence. The essential skill of collaboration in order to produce a piece of drama enables students to develop vital skills of Speaking, Listening and Working with Others.

Drama is delivered to all pupils in Year 7. Pupils can opt to study the subject in Years 8 and 9. Drama GCSE is offered to pupils in Year 10. Pupils in Sixth Form are offered both BTEC Performing Arts (Acting) and Theatre Studies A Level.

At GCSE, the Drama department often achieves results which are 20% higher than the school A-C percentage. We are also very proud of our A-level results with a 100% pass rate.
