The History Department at St Mary’s Catholic High School is a vibrant and exciting area of the school. We are committed to delivering high quality, challenging, interesting and appropriate learning experiences to all our students, inside and outside of the classroom. History is a popular subject at St Mary’s and we work hard to provide our students with the tools to be successful.
We offer an innovative curriculum at Key Stage 3. Our units include warfare across time, the transatlantic slave trade and the Reformation, and the curriculum has been specifically designed to suit St Mary’s students. At Key Stage 4, our students follow a Modern World History course, and our increasingly popular Key Stage 5 course looks at elements of Russian, Irish and German history over the last 2 centuries.
