Y7 Go Quadblogging
As part of their ICT lessons, Mr Colley’s Y7 class has been using the web to communicate with students from three other schools around the country. The four classes taking part have each created a blog – a webpage where people can post their ideas and comment on what other people have said. Each blog has a turn as the main focus for one week when all the other schools look at it and leave comments. So far, we’ve debated the use of mobile phones and social networking in schools with Y8 students from York, and suggested ideas for viral adverts about internet safety to Y12 pupils in Birmingham. It’s our turn next week and we’re a bit nervous to see what people will think about the work that we’ve posted online.Quadblogging is helping us to develop our online communication skills, as well as practicing our writing and sharing great learning about ICT with lots of other people. If you would like to be added to our blog so that you can see what we’ve been up to and leave us lovely comments, please email Mr. Colley at a.colley@admin.st-maryshigh.wigan.sch.uk
