The Learning Link offers an alternative approach to supporting attendance. The provision provides a link between Nurture and Special Education Needs (SEN) and gives an additional facility to provide agency support work to young people and their families.

The facility also provides target support to students for a number of different reasons:

• Assertive Mentoring support looking at Key Skills (Time Management, Organisation and Motivation);

• Pupils at risk of exclusion;

• Non-attendees;

• Reintegration from nurture back into mainstream school where a phased integration is needed;

• Pupils requiring personalised timetables as a result of being disapplied;

• Medical issues.

How can you access the Learning Link?

• Speak to Student Guidance or the Learning Link staff to discuss support.

• Staff will place a referral to the Learning Link staff to discuss support.

• Parents and students will discuss their needs and an agreed support package will be planned.
