Accommodation at St Mary’s has been modified and new building projects are ongoing. SEN pupils with disabilities are at the forefront of this planning and St. Mary’s prides itself in being accessible to wheelchair users. It has a number of lifts and ramps. Where any issues are identified, the department works with the site maintenance team to make reasonable adjustments.
The department recently relocated into new accommodation that has been converted into a dyslexia friendly environment. It has a vast array of literacy and numeracy resources and a fantastic ICT suite that includes programmes to support SEN pupils.
