Primary Liaison

Primary Liaison is central to the Key Stage 2 – 3 transition process.

Regular meetings are held throughout the year with Year 6 teachers from our feeder primaries and invitations sent to our non-feeder schools, all of whom receive Minutes of the meetings and access to provision.

Throughout the year, a range of activities take place from Christmas Whirlwind visits by the Headmaster, the Let’s Sing competition, Eco projects, Sports Festivals and support from various departments.

Schools have regular learning support from our SENCO, Mr Smith, and staff from our Nurture Team, led by Mrs Kawalek. During May – July there are a number of calendared events which include:

• Primary Transition visits from Head of Year 7 to feeder and non-feeder schools
• Parent Transition Workshops held at the primary school.
• Year 6 Taster Day
• Year 6 Taster Evening for Year 6 parents
• Easter and Summer Schools for English and Maths.
