KS4 Study Support Information Evening

On Tuesday 19th October the school held the first of two planned Study Support Information Evenings for parents/carers of students in Year 11. With over 200 in attendance, presentations were given by Mr Dawson (Senior Deputy Headteacher) - ‘The World of today and tomorrow’, Mr Barton (Director of Learning Key Stag4) – ‘Intervention and Success’ and Mr Quinn (Assistant Headteacher) - ‘Preparing for Exams and Personal Motivation’

Information packs were sent home in advance of this meeting in addition to several resources given out after the event. These included a CD containing a range of subject specific support materials and a leaflet on how to combat exam stress. A ‘Study Skills Workbook’ will soon be made available.
