Key Stage 3
Through Years 7, 8 and 9 we recognise your child will undergo a number of diverse experiences, from their initial transition from Year 6 to Year 7 through to making their option choices to study in Key Stage 5.
There is a comprehensive transition programme in place to ensure your child’s progression from primary school to St Mary’s is as stress free as possible. We also offer a transition programme from each year group within the key stage.
Key Stage 3 staff also put on a number of lunch time clubs, including chess club, board games club and a debating club.
Students in Year 8 are also given the opportunity to become student receptionist for the day, all students greatly enjoy this and the added responsibility they have for the day.
During Year 9 responsible students are selected to represent the school during school events as guides for visitors, assist with parking arrangements and helping new students
