The National College in delivering the Middle Leadership Development Course.
The Middle Leader Development Programme is a bespoke training course recognised by the National College. Within the Eastern Collaborative, the first cohort of participants consists of 23 middle leaders and 16 coaches. The participants undertake six face to face twilight sessions held at St. Mary’s which focus on how middle leaders can impact on ‘Closing the Gap’ within their school through a leadership challenge project.
The National College - Specialist Leaders of Education.
At St Mary's we currently have 5 SLEs. The role of an SLE is to provide outreach support to other schools across the region in specialist areas including; leadership and management, collaborative learning, assessment for learning, department leadership and many more. Schools wishing to take up support from an SLE can apply via the National College and an individualised, bespoke needs analysis is then drawn up between the lead SLE and guest school.
